2011 Community Data Collection Participants Selected
Four communities were selected to participate in the next round of community based data collection projects to be completed by Buckeye Hills. The communities are Pomeroy (Meigs County), Middleport (Meigs County), Albany (Athens County), and Somerset (Perry County). These communities are slated to begin data collection activities in early Spring 2011. Completion of the data collection phase of these projects is anticipated by August 2011.
Village of Chesterhill Project Completed
The GPS data collection project has been completed in the Village of Chesterhill (Morgan County). Buckeye Hills GIS Manager Bret Allphin and GIS Intern Jason Pyles worked with Chestrhill Water Superintendent Gordon Armstrong to collect GPS data for all Village water infrastructure including water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, waterlines, maholes, and storm sewers.
Village of Stockport Project Completed
The GPS data collection project has been completed in the Village of Stockport (Morgan County). Buckeye Hills GIS Manager Bret Allphin and GIS Intern Jason Pyles worked with Stockport Mayor Kevin Manning to collect GPS data for all Village water infrastructure including water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, waterlines, maholes, and storm sewers.
Village of New Matamoras Project Completed
The GPS data collection project was completed for the Village of Racine(Meigs County) in Winter 2009. Buckeye Hills GIS Manager Bret Allphin worked with New Matamoras Water Superintendent Greg Danver to collect GPS data for all Village water infrastructure including water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, and waterlines.
Village of Syracuse Project Completed
The GPS data collection project was completed for the Village of Syracuse(Meigs County) in Fall 2009. Buckeye Hills GIS Manager Bret Allphin and GIS Intern Jason Pyles worked with Syracuse Water Superintendent Bill Davis to collect GPS data for all Village water infrastructure including water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, and waterlines.
Village of Racine Project Completed
The GPS data collection project was completed for the Village of Racine(Meigs County) in Spring 2009. Buckeye Hills GIS Manager Bret Allphin worked with Village Mayor Scott Hill to collect GPS data for all Village water infrastructure including water meters, water valves, fire hydrants, and waterlines.
